Muskegon Bowmen
is one of the oldest and
largest
archery clubs in Michigan.We are a self maintained and self funded not for profit archery club comprised of persons that shoot traditional and compound bows. Some shoot just for the enjoyment of target shooting, while others like to increase their skills for hunting.
Our club is affiliated with, National Field Archery Association, Michigan Archery Association, Lake Michigan Archery Association and Michigan Bow Hunters Association. We actively support the annual Michigan Sportsmen for Youth and Pheasants Forever Youth Day events and have a large youth archery league.
Muskegon Bowmen began in 1937 when archers got together to pursue the sport of archery. This was also the first year of special archery deer season in Michigan. The charter of Muskegon Bowmen is to encourage and support the ancient sport of archery. All types of archery, traditional and modern, are enjoyed on a year round basis on our indoor and outdoor ranges.
Many thousands of archers have shot with Muskegon Bowmen Archery Club over the past seventy years. We shot at many locations in Muskegon County before building a clubhouse at 2380 Central Road, Muskegon, Michigan in the mid seventy's.
Muskegon Bowmen also boasts some of the best shooting facilities available. Our club is situated on 50+ acres in Northern Muskegon County. Our clubhouse is surrounded by 3 outdoor ranges including:
